It was a dirty play and not even a baseball play. Can't start your slide after the base. 2 games is a lot, but probably got 2 because it's in the playoffs.

Yes, Utley is appealing, and early indication is that it's an appeal he should win.

 

Also, Harold Reynolds doesn't think that Tejada was trying to turn a double play. Of all the things that you can say that there's at least a shred of logic for, he chooses the one thing that makes absolutely no sense(yes I know that's the umpire ruling).

I find old school baseball logic to be so weird. Breaking a defenseless player's leg on a slide is okay but stealing when you're up 6 deserves a fast ball to the head.

Wow I really hate the replay call that was just made against the royals on the steal. The guy beat it by a mile and his foot came like a half inch off the base for a half second, replay says out. I'm not arguing that he shouldn't be out by the rules, but it's just annoying in my opinion.
