Losing sucks. Losing the day before an off day sucks even worse. Winning rules so let's just win Cubs, ok? OK.

It's some guy who obviously suffers from a deity complex and whom the douchebacks acquired from the Cubs in exchange for Miggy and his tweets:

He will be matched up against the awesomeness that is this man:

This is Lester's first start in September for the Cubs and with the playoffs in sight he will own this month (and the next) like nobody's business. Cubs roll the snakes 5-2. Lester pitches 7 solid innings and Rizzo and Bryant go back to back. #WeAreGood #LetsGo :clapping:

Well we know at the very least that he will own this month:

March/April - 6.23

May - 1.76

June - 5.74

July - 1.66

August - 5.04

Career September ERA - 3.20 (2nd best month of his career after 3.15 in July)

This, however, would bode poorly for October.

Aren't his career playoff stats pretty damn good?

Missing the STL series is suboptimal. Then again, we're playing the Pirates 7 more times and would probably have to lose several of those for them to catch STL, so it probably doesn't matter a ton.

Not thrilled about Jackson in the 2 spot but otherwise sounds fine.

That's a cool 1-2, but god [expletive] dammit, Coghlan.

Would you stop complaining about Cogs already you big grump

yeah Coghlan in the 3 spot is starting to run its course, especially since he's probably more likely to play all 9 innings with Soler and Schwarber out of commission.

Sweep this damn series! Lester vs. this scrub today. Arrieta tomorrow. Then the H's have to get it together. But no reason the Cubs shouldn't have a very good chance at the sweep on Sunday.

Saying we win only 5-2 today is pretty pessimistic.

It's only because King Kyle is out. Otherwise it would have been 9-1 (He would have taken away a solo home run by leaping above the basket.)
