so...the accuser saw the mother take the bag home with her, then didn't say anything when she presented the bag as the rape kit to the attorney? she had to be complicit. She also would have seen the box.

Are people thinking she planned this from the beginning? A mother writing down the number of the rape kit while her daughter is having a rape kit taken is not surprising.

Hard to win a criminal case against a rapist. If the accuser was not in on it, you would never have thought that your own mom would have made it more difficult.

So, if the DA wants to proceed, that testimony could lead to a Grand Jury and/or indictment. But with all of this circus going on, he might decide to just end the whole thing.

Who knows if the mom snapped some pics of the rape kit ID # just in case since Kane is high-profile at the hospital or the accuser herself did. Who knows if she planned it from the beginning or she perpetrated the hoax after reports came out that Kane's DNA wasn't present on her daughter's underwear or genitals.

Have to wonder about those tweets. Not to go on a rant about journalistic standards these days, but throwing a tweet out there is no substitute for double or triple sourcing your reporting. It's so much easier for people to manipulate a case, basically using the media as their mouthpiece. Have to wonder what the motivation is for talking. Same thing with Kane's side of course.

Yeah their coverage of this has come off as a bit extreme to me.

 

All the developments from the last few days have been pretty bizarre and depressing and whatever else you want to call them, but I'm not sure how any of them should alter how Kane (and/or the Blackhawks) should be viewed.
