This guy's got a 4.77 ERA with 32/33 BB/K through 60IP and we've got Lester on the mound. Cubs will find a way to make him look like Nolan Ryan, while Lester gets knocked out in the 4th and the Rockies spend the next 5 inning teeing off Medina and Russell

I must be prepared for either scenario and all in between.

Castro benched too, and Soler.

It probably won't have much net effect but I'm glad Joe is at least trying something to shake things up.

Still no Starlin. Even if it's nontrade, I have a random feeling that they might keep Russell there starting today.

They should. Even if (especially if) they're not getting rid of him, he needs a few days to collect himself anyway.

good god, 7-8-9 is an absolute dumpster fire. wouldn't be surprised to see denorfia in there at some point during the game to switch out for either schwarber or herrea.

side note: is coghlan not a complete butcher at 2B? i knew he came up as a MIF, but didn't know if maddon was just trying to get as much offense in the game last night via sacrificing defense or if coghlan at 2B is a possible thing.

Coghs was taking grounders at 2B before the last two games.

7-8-9 is probably less of a dumpster fire than 6-7-8 normally is.
