y'all don't know my struggle

y'all can't match my hustle

Addison is seriously a wizard with a glove, never seen anyone do what he does with the glove at his age although Correa might be matching it. If Addison lives up to his bat potential, he could be among the league leaders in WAR every year and this makes me happy

When is it ok to start worrying about his hitting?

When is it ok to start worrying about his hitting?

Definitely not when he's still 21 and has played less than 75 career games above AA. He's shown flashes and has too much talent to not succeed imo.

Russell will probably hit this way the rest of the year. They will let him have his struggles and figure out what he can, but I imagine he plays in a fall league and come next spring training he will have refined a few different things that coaches want him to change to have a better approach. I bet next year we see a much more polished player. While some players come up and excel with the bat and are terrible with the glove but improve over time - others players are the opposite and Russell has excelled with the glove and has been just OK at the plate.

long-term or short-term? long-term, i'm still confident he's going to be a very nice player. short-term (aka the rest of this season), i'm worried that one of the spots from which i hoped we'd get solid production has turned into a second castro.

The overall results aren't quite there yet, but the peripherals are really coming around. I expect the hits will start to come soon and he'll have a really nice 2nd half.

His adjustments have really been impressive. Plenty of reason for optimism that he will become the 'Barry Larkin' that Beane promised when he sent him over.

LD% per month? He seems to be hitting the ball with more authority recently too. Especially to RCF.
