I can dig this. Some other interesting guys but this is a good pick.

Not terribly excited over a center we need more defensive players imo.

He'll be a starter for a long time to come.

I like Grasu. Great fit in zone blocking scheme. But it's funny, he's probably a top 75-80 talent but I don't like the value. I think you had to take Harold or PJ or Owa (high upside guy) and hope Grasu was there in the 4th, with Max Garcia and others as fallback options.

If that's true then obviously I will be cool with it just seems like there are more pressing needs.

This is starting to get overstated. We have many needs, but the defense's needs are far more pressing. We're coming off the worst two defensive years in this franchise's long history. As things stand right now, very little has been done to fix it.

Firing Mel Tucker certainly helped.

It seems like most of the free agency money was spent to fix the defense. With as many holes as the Bears have, I guess they have to take BPA.

Coaching matters a lot in the NFL. And if you believe that, (in terms of defense) the Bears went from probably dead last in that to top 5. That should and likely will make a major difference in itself.

That's not to say I don't want talent upgrades, but people are understating this.

Looks like Kevin White will wear 13, for anyone interested in that sort of thing.

Some names to watch for tomorrow

Rd 4/5

TJ Clemmings - OT - Pittsburgh

Bryce Petty - QB - Baylor

Michael Bennett - DT - Ohio State

David Cobb - RB - Minnesota

Adrian Amos - FS - Penn State

Josh Shaw - DB - USC

Jarvis Harrison - G - Texas A&M

Marcus Hardison - DL - Arizona State

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu - CB - Oregon

Mike Davis - RB - South Carolina

Anthony Harris - S - Virginia

MyCole Pruitt - TE - Southern Illinois

Ibraheim Campbell - SS - Northwestern

Rd 6

Tony Washington - OLB - Oregon

Chris Hackett - FS - TCU

Christian Covington - DE/DT - Rice

Trey Williams - RB/WR? - Texas A&M

Durrell Eskridge - FS - Syracuse

Still a handful of nice WR on the board, but unless its a guy certain to add some KR ability, not sure I burn a 4th or 5th based on our current depth chart. Otherwise I think it's probably hard to go wrong position wise- though I'd really like to see a DB drafted.

Who was going to be the center before the Bears drafted one? De Le Puente still on the roster?

Naw. Some old guy they signed who I can't remember.

for having so many mysterious, monstrous, unforgivable and absolutely damnable red flags, the cowboys sure seemed super-excited to get Gregory, including Marinelli.

I'd add Jay Ajayi to that list. Probably the best RB still on the board.

Knowing the needs on defense, if Clemmings is still there with the 4th pick, do you take him?

I wouldn't have a problem with because as others have said, between FA additions and an expected bounce from competent coaching, I think the defense will be serviceable this year and more good OL is always a good thing.

I know Forte is aging, but I don't think I like the RB pick there. We already have Jacquizz and Carey on the roster. That's one of the few positions I wouldn't have used a pick this year.
