Looking at these numbers, how is Montero in any way better the Castillo? Is it against right handed pitching?

 

How do you look at those numbers and then make that comment/question? Do you not realize Castillo bats righty and Montero lefty?

I had him in a deep (OBP) fantasy league last year, and Montero was really solid in the first half. Wonder if it was just variance or if he got hurt or wore down.

This is another reason I like him as a target in a platoon-type environment. Montero's played more games at catcher than anyone in MLB the last 4 years. You can't make the injuries un-happen, but I think cutting out 30+ games of catching can only mean good things for his performance/durability.
