Cardale's got to turn pro after tonight, right?

And if he does, how does the NFL handle a prospect with only three games experience and film?

Matt Cassel had 33 pass attempts at USC and got drafted

Right, but he exhausted his eligibility. Cardale isn't turning pro early to be a 7th rounder.

Argument for #3 QB in the draft.

Just give Nick Saban a call on how to prep for him. Ought to be out of the league almost instantly with his 6 months of prep.

I brought this up last week. The local radio show asked Adam Schefter what the chances of him going pro were, and Schefter didn't even know Cardale's name, and said that he had heard no NFL people talking about him at all (and this was after the Sugar Bowl). Maybe tonight changes things, we'll see

Well that reflects really poorly on Schefter

Cardale will be a better pro than Marriota, IMO. Maybe the combine will make that apparent.

I don't know about that, but I don't think Mariota or Winston will be any good.

That's quite something to say about a guy with 3 career games.

Yeah, but I've seen plenty of games with Marriota to think he won't be all that special in the pros.

He ain't there to play school.

Wouldn't transferring be better than trying to go pro early? He'd still get one year of tape, right?

he'd have to sit out a year, while Braxton Miller can play immediately

Unless he's transferring out of Division 1, he'd have to sit out a year and be two years from the draft.

And hes already been out of HS 3 years.

If OSU comes out and scores a TD its over. The Ducks haven't been slugged like this. They can still win but they must stop the Buckeyes

Right but he'd sit a year, then play a year and be like every other 5th year draft eligible QB. Though transferring to a top FCS program would be an interesting move.

Man, I'm floored guys at home can determine how a guy will translate to the NFL while currently running a completely different system.

Have they definitely said JT is gonna be their starter next year?

No. Then again, Urban has said that Braxton WILL be back, when it's clear he won't, so I wouldn't believe anything coming from the OSU camp on the QB situation
