Cardale Jones going back is like beating Grand Theft Auto and then just playing because you like to shoot and run over people.

Except not like that in any way

Way to take a simple joke seriously there, fella

Cardale is getting bad advice, IMO. Anything can happen while he's playing football for free.

Right now he's in non-guaranteed contract territory, most likely third round. A full year of punking the god-awful Big Ten and another run at the NC puts him in the guaranteed $20mil top 10 pick territory

IF all of that happens AND IF he beats out JT AND IF he doesn't get injured at any point

The local sentiment is that he wouldn't have stayed had Urban not basically told him he would be the starter (and JT the backup)

Tennessee OC quits to pursue "other coaching opportunities". This close to signing day I bet Jones is thrilled. Not a good look.

CMU HC Dan Enos left to become Arkansas OC today. A little surprising, more from Arkansas' end. Enos didn't seem very popular in Mt. Pleasant based on discussions I've had with CMU grads I work with.

They picked the wrong directional Michigan school, I love Fleck from WMU. It would cost a ton to get him but it would be worth it.

worse look: yanking an offer from a commit two weeks prior to NSD

He'll likely end up in Tampa or CMU.

Yeah, rumor is Tampa QB coach. It sucks too - Bajakian was one of the few coaches Butch brought in that I really liked.

Mixed emotions on this. By several accounts he is an excellent recruiter and runs the offense Bielema wants, something that caused friction with "3 passes and out" Chaney. He also seemed to be pretty decent at QB development.

That's one of the really crappy parts of the sec. Feel bad for the kid.

Fixed

Haha. OK. I must have missed the commitment to the student athletes from the rest of the Power 5.

One of the reasons I wish we had an early signing day. Kids would find out if their offer is legit or not.

The Power 5 literally just voted in guaranteed four-year scholarships over the objections of the SEC (and for some reason the Big 12).

you got a good one, Illini.

That was a hell of a steal.

Im sure that title of co-defensive coordinator will give him a bigger salary considering both Missouri and Illinois underpay their assistants.

They should have promoted him when Memphis considered him for DC.

Michigan recruiting oops.

"Basically they tried to call me stupid in front of my face."

A lot of smart kids get turned down by Michigan every year. The coach is probably right, but still, lol at the tact. What is Michigan's out of state acceptance rate? It's gotta be really low.

it's hard to imagine Greg Mattison, once called the best recruiter in the country by Urban Meyer, building the reputation he's built by offending HS kids; sounds like an unfortunate misunderstanding probably

from probably the most well-sourced UM guy: "Long story short, crazy helicopter dad."
