Wouldn't transferring be better than trying to go pro early? He'd still get one year of tape, right?

Unless he's transferring out of Division 1, he'd have to sit out a year and be two years from the draft.

Right but he'd sit a year, then play a year and be like every other 5th year draft eligible QB. Though transferring to a top FCS program would be an interesting move.

I REALLY think that's not a rule anymore. He is immediately eligible.

I REALLY think you're wrong. Of course it's still a rule....otherwise, players would constantly transfer to other schools the second they don't like their playing time

Yes it is, Jones would have to sit out a year if he transfers to any D1 program. Braxton doesn't have to because he graduated and can do the grad school thing like Russell Wilson did.

You're only eligible to play right away as a 5th year senior if you've already graduated. Other than that, you have to sit a year unless there's some sort of family/medical hardship.

Ok. What I was thinking was that the NCAA is far more lenient these days in offering exemptions. They seem to let everyone play right away.

Big stop for Oregon. They need to start capitalizing on these turnovers.

They can turn it around right here.

And there we go.

That shouldn't have been a touchdown by the rules, but I'm glad they didn't overrule it. Man that was stupid.

should be pretty simple: hold onto the ball until you're on the sideline. I don't even get the "cool" factor of dropping the ball right away after scoring

Oregon needs to stop running straight ahead.

I think they are over thinking the Buckeyes speed. They're fast and well be tough to get outside on, but it doesn't play to Oregon's strengths.
