im annoyed and confused about this handling of Teuvo

 

With Smith gone, they need Nordstrom to kill penalties. What they needed to find out was whether Desjardins could be effective on the PK. So the choice was to scratch Sharp (not Happening), Versteeg (not happening) Richards, Bickell or Tuevo. Low man on the totem pole (Tuevo) enjoys the buffet with Carcillo in the press box. Desjardins was pretty invisible the other night. I missed the first 2 periods but I can only remember seeing him once during the 3rd period. Moving forward, I think we'll see Tuevo against the skill teams and Desjardins against the teams that like to goon it up.

Well that was a mostly terrible performance and we managed a point out of it.

 

Offense looks terrible the past couple of games. I get that Kane is a major blow to miss and I know we're getting a new piece acclimated to the team, but I expect better.

Kane has missed 18 games the last 2 seasons. The Hawks have been shut out in 6 of those games.

Well they have only lost once in regulation since Kane went down. However their offense wasn't playing well with Kane, now it's putrid without. Crawford has been bailing them out.

Yes he did, and he looked like the best player on the ice for the Hawks until OT.

I did a Cubs-Sox in Glendale then Hawks Coyotes game in 2011 . I did change from my Cubs jersey to Hawks sweater in parking lot. But no joke the Coyotes stadium AC has to be set below 60F. They actually sell hot chocolate there.

Well I do have to, you know, "work" also. But if I get done Thursday the Friday Cubs game may happen.

By the way, tickets are crazy expensive for this game. I get it, during Spring Training, they are just bleeding Hawks fans. But the lowest gate price is $93+fees, and secondary market is really high too. These are Chicago prices.

Damn! In 2011 we bought the tickets from the ticket office for like $18 a ticket. They were upper level behind the goal but they seem to be doing what other teams do when the Hawks, Detroit, Pittsburgh, or Montreal are in town.
