There were so few Coyotes fans there tonight, I felt bad for them. It easily could have been 90% Hawks fans, no exaggeration.

I don't know how others felt, but the Hawks outshot them by a crazy margin, played pretty solid defense (though Oduya was clearly rusty the first half of the game), but they still just felt off. They beat a bad team, but no style points.

Sharp was invisible, I wish Vertsteeg was. TT looked decent again though a solid defenseman exposes him still. I was cursing Richards until about five seconds before he scored the GWG.

Oh, and Mike Smith is still a bitch. First the assault on Versteeg, and then a ridiculous dive in an attempt to get a call, I think it was in the third. He's terrible.

Finally, Brian was right, they keep that rink cold.

I'll take 2 points no matter how we get them at this point. We can all hope for an extra gear come April.

Also don't look now but if the season ended today, we'd be playing Nashville in the first round.

Friend of mine on facebook said he thought 85-90% Hawks fans. That is crazy! 2011 when I last went there was probably a 50-50 split and that was a Saturday game. Pat and Steve on the telecast said that game sold out three months ago.

Mike Smith what a tool. Richards looked like he had an extra step. Sharp looked a lot better, but he clearly is pressing.

Yup and St Louis could be playing LA! If they finish #1 in the West and LA gets 2nd WC spot, which is where they both are now.

Hawks now 5 points from first, they have two games in hand on Nashville. I think St Louis will take the division but the Hawks can take 2nd and have home ice on the Predators. Crazy, just thinking about when Kane went down, they were 12 points behind Nashville.

This doesn't surprise me. Between the snowbirds, spring training attendees and the transplants from Illinois, I would expect a lot of season ticket holders to sell their seats for top dollar to Chicago hockey fans.

Damn. Just a few months ago Bettman said 73 million. Canadian dollar is now down to 73 cents

He needs to be benched for a couple games for that. What a stupid move.

The wheel of Justice will land on 2 games for this. Though I could see him getting 5 since he already has a suspension on his resume. How fortunate for him that he'll be in NY anyway.

So, looking like a first-round matchup with Nashville. Unless they continue to fall apart. We could get MN in the 2-3 matchup.

That would take an epic collapse on the part of Nash. They have 94 points and 10 remaining games. Wild have 85 points with 12 to play. So if the wild use only 5 of their remaining games to make up that difference, it would be like they are tied but the Preds have 3 Games in Hand.

And if we play decently well we can earn home ice in that series. We have 3 games in hand and only 4 points behind if the tiebreaker is H2H we have that as well.
