Jameis Winston suspended 1st half vs Clemson for "obscenities on the student union."

Noooo. I was waiting to get Clemson +21.5. It was 21 on Monday and I was waiting for the big run on FSU to add the hook.

I wonder what he did.

My only problem is picking the wrong teams.

That sounds like someone's recorded message line.

The more I think about it, the more I think Miss St beats LSU, maybe 21-17 in a slugfest. You can run on LSU, and their offense isn't lighting up anyone.

On a side note, anyone have a scouting report on Northern Illinois? The Hogs host them looking as good as they have looked since Petrino.

I watched the northwestern game and they really struggled to move the ball. I gotta believe Arkansas can hold them to under 20 and run the ball on them, maybe not like they have been recently, but should lay a bit whoopin on the huskies.

Tonight's game was a perfect example of what's wrong with the CFB as far as rankings go. That was an evenly matched game. Auburn got bottled up. KSU blew that game. that was a decent big 12 team playing on the level of an SEC Power. There is far more conference parity than people think.

I'll take any non-conference road win against a ranked team, but someone finally stopped Auburn's zone read, and they are going to have a tough time running the gauntlet this year with upcoming games against LSU, Mississippi state, ole miss, South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.

No doubt that was a nice win for auburn. And the clock killing drive at the end was cluth and I thought called really well by Gus. I'm just saying that the other conferences are closer to the sec than most people think. The 5 teams in the west being in the top 10 skews things.

If the SEC West were a conference (and it might as well be, with 7 teams it's almost as large as most of the conferences used to be), it would be by far the best in the country. The SEC East is far less good.

Regardless of whether some teams are overrated or not, I can't imagine that it has ever happened in the modern era that HALF of the Top Ten teams were from the same DIVISION within a conference.

Well, there was no such thing as a 7-team division until the SEC expanded to 14, and with a 6-team division (which there was no such thing as until 1992), it's essentially impossible, so yeah.

Any chance Oklahoma has their annual Bob Stoops game and West Virginia can beat them at home? That place is going to be insane for a night game and they played BAMA tough and ran up over 600 yards @ Maryland.

This is OU's toughest road game all season. I'm worried about this.

Last chance for a win for KU. Ride or die, baby!

CMU's best player was arrested for stealing a 62 year old woman's purse. I think you'll win.

edit: too bad they didn't catch the moron before he ran all over Purdue lol

I don't watch a lot of SEC: has Gus moved on from the inverted veer base?

I still think OU wins, but I've been to several night games in Morgantown and it's quite a scene. They beat a decent Auburn team and a very strong Louisville team when I was there. Those hillbillies can certainly hold an entertaining event. I just don't think WVU's defense can do enough to beat a very good OU team. I'd take the points, but OU wins a close one, probably.

The pettiness of the people in the Rutgers AD office is impressive. Rutgers apologized to PSU for their student's Sandusky related comments, and somebody else ratted out the AD for once making a sarcastic comment about Sandusky in a meeting. I doubt there is an office in America that has not had a sarcastic Sandusky comment over the past few years.

@highkin: There's officially been more effort put into investigating Jameis Winston yelling something inappropriate in public than his rape accusation

In a lame attempt to be fair, there's some Twitter scuttlebutt that part of this is related to that. I don't know the particulars but evidently they're investigating the assault further due to a Title IX complaint.

ETA: Well, now there are sources saying Winston wasn't honest with FSU about this incident and that's why the suspension, so maybe that's just wrong as usual.
