AP reporting law enforcement saying they sent video three months ago and that it was received by the NFL.

they'll probably say an intern signed for it and never notified anyone else.

Goodell going to lose his job over Ray Rice. Why is he doing this? "To my knowledge, we never received the video." All he has left. Time to fire the NFL mail room person he'll say.

The person played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible."

Man I hope Goodell goes down for this

Dan Snyder must be pretty happy

I was about to post this...from the Deadspin comments:

GOODELL: Hey, how bout that Redskins name controversy, I'd love to talk about that now. I say, let's change it! Who's with me??

next week's unemployment data will reflect one former female NFL employee

Unless she passed the video up the chain and Goodell won't admit he saw it or knew about it still. But who is going to stick their neck out for that between the woman and Goodell?

Also fun:

ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk

As @RossTuckerNFL just pointed out during @PFTonNBCSN, Roger Goodell told Saints leadership in bounty case, "Ignorance is not an excuse."

Goodell said this yesterday in his letter: "As the New Jersey Attorney General's office said yesterday, "It would have been illegal for law enforcement to provide [the] Rice video to [the] NFL.""

Guess not.

The more I read, the less confident Goodell is gone. I seriously doubt he'd just up and resign from a 44 mill a year job, which leaves the owners needing to oust him. And this group of owners? Starting to agree with others, just can't see them doing it.

I think the only real hope is for some big sponsors to pull the plug.

Rather ironic that the NCAA likely pulled the Penn State punishments when they did because of all the heat coming down on the NFL.

We knew Mike Rice associated with Rutgers is a bad person.

We knew Ray Lewis associated with the Ravens is a bad person.

It should be no surprise that someone named Ray Rice associated to both Rutgers and the Ravens is also a bad person.
