apparently SAS said melo will announce his decision later today too. the timing makes me worried that him and lebron are teaming up somewhere.

sas has been full of complete [expletive] for this whole story

yeah he got the miami thing before anyone else. probably had close ties to one of those parties. he has been all over the place with complete nonsense on the melo story though.

all that is to say, yeah, there's a decent chance something comes out about melo in the next day or so, but this dude probably is doing nothing but guessing.

If he's going back to Miami, why would he announce that on his website?

Probably to drive traffic and promote something like some new product, business or thing he's a part of

That's true...I think he's releasing his new shoe next week or something.

Within Anthony's circle, belief's been this, sources tell Y: Get NY's $129M now, figure out destination later. You can always get a trade.

What? Once you sign a deal isn't your leverage for demanding a trade way down?

I assumed they weren't talking this year necessarily

Yeah that's kinda how I took it, I think once you sign it has to be a explicit S&T or straight up resign. Once you sign you can't be traded until some point during the next season (want to say sometime in November).

I think it's either December 15 or January 15.

FWIW, the Isola report is already being refuted by Howard Beck. I still think Melo's going to end up back in NY.

But you can always get it if you want one?

The Knicks have not yet been apprised that Carmelo Anthony has decided to re-sign with them, source says.

Cavaliers are pursuing a Kevin Love trade with Minnesota, contingent on the signing of LeBron James, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

that would be a wrap in the east for the next 5 years

B/B had a texter point out that Isola stood behind his Steve Kerr to the Knicks story too

Carmelo Anthony's agent is denying the NYDN report that he's staying with the Knicks. So there's that. http://shar.es/N2QZq

Well then

Agent says Melo hasn't made a decision yet on the Knicks and Lakers. Reporter didn't even throw the Bulls in as an option.

Not without gutting the team you want to be traded too. If true, Melo is even dumber than I thought.

Maybe the Knicks could get Lin back and return to their glory weeks.

How do you force a team to trade you right after just signing and not agreeing to the S&T from the beginning? Tell Phil I won't play one game for you?

That Woj report didn't mean an immediate trade.
