Couldn't it be argued that Belgium would be the 2nd weakest group winner though?

 

It seems like the four favorites have been separated nicely into each quadrant of the bracket. And the teams who are on the edge of that (France, Chile, Columbia) are all on the other side of the bracket. I'd put Belgium right behind those seven. Everybody who isn't one of those eight teams is going to have a really hard road if seeds hold since they're spread out so nicely.

As a second-place group qualifier, the US really should be pretty thrilled with Belgium first game. Belgium has more talent than the US but they're one of the weaker group winners and not a perennial power.

I love that movie, but my brain is convinced that Peter Dinklage plays the little person in it and then when I see that it's not him I am sad.

 

Though I just discovered that that other little person played the giant bag of weed that Kumar marries, soooooooooooo...he's kinda great.
