Well, to be fair, there are still some bright spots left:

Kris Bryant

Rob Zastryzny (peripherals are very good)

Daury Torrez

Ivan Pineyro

Jen-Ho Tseng

Armando Rivero

You could throw in Amaya, Hernandez, and Balaguert too but their babip is kind of insane.

our #2 bright spot is a guy with a 6.38 ERA...kill me now

but the peripherals are good. feel better?

Can't imagine anyone thinks Zastryzny is our second brightest spot in the minors, no matter how crappy the season has started on the farm.

I think it does a disservice to Shawon Dunston if you ask me.

Sucks about CJ, but if you go 3-4 weeks without throwing, a late June/early July return seems realistic. If it IS just inflammation, it doesn't even set him back that far. A late season debut in 2015 is always what I had in mind anyway.

And yeah, thru 15-20 games, we've had a few disappointments. I'm not the least bit worried about that. Sorry, but most of this doom bonering is [expletive] stupid. Just as it was last year too.

So were you assuming 2015 would be the year he suddenly takes on a full starter's load? Or never?

What is the doom from last year you speak of as being wrong?

And the year before that. And the year before that...and so on and so on and so on.

Javy gave us a bit of a scare.

Are we even going to want Edwards to be pitching late in the season after throwing 100 innings this season with a career high of ~110?

And yes, those who were negative last year have certainly been shown how foolish they were thus far.

The negative last year was stupid. Within a month, it turned directly into Javy is God.....Sorry, K percentage, swing rate, none of that [expletive] matters to me concerning a 21 year old in AAA.

It means a lot to me. To be fair, I'm sure he'll end up OK. But it lowers his floor. I don't care if he's 17, if he skull fucks AA, then can't make contact one level up, it means something.

As for CJ, who knows? If he can get to 100 IP this year, maybe he pitches AFL or somewhere, to help him get to 120ish. If he can hit 140 next year, maybe he gets a 10-15 inning audition in the majors in September. He doesn't have to come in and be a 200 inning guy right off the bat, or even ever. No one here better be under the impression all these guys are panning out.

Future Rotation

Wood

Shark or guy from return

Big FA signing

1 or 2 of Arrieta, Grimm, Hendricks, Jokisch, Rusin, CJ, PJ, Black, Pineyro, 4th pick in the draft

1 from trading off minor league parts-likely Alcantara, Vogelbach, Candelario, Villanueva, etc

If there's not 5, they can continue with the one year, 5 mill type guy too.

I'm still very confident our rotation looks excellent heading into 2016. And much better in 2015 than it is now.

That's a 77-win rotation if I ever saw one.

You forgot to include the guys we got for trading Garza. I seem to remember we weren't supposed to project the rotation going forward without the near-ready elite SP prospects we were definitely getting for Garza.
