Johnson/Vogelbach was too close to call for me, so I voted both. Vogelbach redeemed himself a little bit with his strong finish at Daytona.

Gun to my head, I go Johnson 7a and Vogelbach 7b. I also considered Villanueva. The voice in the back of my head are starting to get a little louder for Olt and Vizcaino too, especially once we get past Johnson/Vogelbach.

Pierce Johnson. If Vogelbach could just play average D at 1B he'd easily be in the conversation for #5 prospect. But I have to take the #3 SP upside over power bat DH with very good plate discipline who hasn't shown amazing HR power yet. It would be another story if he broke out last year and hit like 30+ HR. Then even the "lack of position" wouldn't matter as much.

Just voting for one still. Don't see the point of voting for 3 guys. You're just not making your vote count that way. Sorry Dan, you're 8 for me and you'll get my vote next go around, assuming PJ wins this one.(as he should)

I single voted for Johnson, since the early voting looks close.

Good pitcher, good results, good stuff, good control, seems to have a very good head, and I think he's very close. I assume he starts in AA, and if he has a very good year he'll be more or less ready by end of the year. Doesn't have "great ceiling" overpowering stuff, but I think has enough velocity and enough diversity of pitches to work with to become a good big-league starter. Easy vote for me.

Next one will be easy too.

At #9 is when we'll start to see much more variance.

I went Johnson, Vogelbach, Candelario. Is it silly to have two more 3B men after that? Wasn't sure which one to call number 9. I just love Candy mans approach at the plate and pitch selection that put him above Olt and Villanueva, but that is no knock on them.

Good call on the single voting. I took back my Vogelbach vote to help Johnson.

My initial vote was:

Pierce Johnson

Dan Vogelbach

Jeimer Candelario

After Vogelbach is when voting for two or three players at a time starts to make a lot more sense.

I voted for PJ Armstrong for the mere fact that he has a more realistic future in this organization in a role he's capable of filling and Vogelbach does not. Like someone said in another thread, Vogelbach is merely currency at this point. If we had the DH, I'd probably rank him 5th.

agree. Lots of guys there, almost 10-12 guys you could just throw in a lotto bowl, shake em up, and get results that made sense.

Thats exactly when I see the need to vote for 3, because my guess is Candelario, Villanueva, Hendricks, Vizcaino, Olt, and Blackburn will all see a few votes inside the top 10.

PJ Armstrong is gonna catch on, you'll see. And when he's announced at Wrigley over the speakers system they'll say "Puh puh puh peeejaaaaaaaaaaaaay Arrrrrrrrrmmmstrooooooooong"

Johnson would be the easy call on this one. It's odd, I wasn't huge on him last year, but I almost think he's a bit under-rated now. I'm still not convinced there is as big a gap between Johnson and CJ Edwards as the votes imply, and I would take him over Alcantara, which is more a nod to Johnson, as I still like Arismendy.
