You're GM of another team: Rank our big 4 in order of best career to worst....

don't quite get the "GM of another team" aspect of this ranking.

Eh, testing out long term positions is what I was going for. If you trade for Javy, for instance, is he a SS or something else to your team? Knowing full well every team is different as it is. Silly wording on my part.

What are realistic currently active player comps for these guys' careers? Here's an attempt at that with low end, medium end/likely, and high end comps.

Baez: Low: JJ Hardy Medium: Hanley Ramirez High: A-Rod

Bryant: Low: Mike Moustakas Medium: David Freese High: David Wright

Soler: Low: Jeff Francouer Medium: Jason Heyward High: Carlos Beltran

Almora: Low: Denard Span Medium: Coco Crisp High: Adam Jones

Baez

Soler

Almora

Bryant

No confidence in Bryant? Or long term positional value just hurt him here?

There isn't a huge chasm in between any of them, but it fell that way because Bryant only provides value with the bat, and with his K rate and only being thru Daytona, there's more chance of him flaming out than the others.

If you are Kevin Towers obviously you want Soler since he will fight.

Baez

Bryant

Soler

Almora

Positional value for Baez gets him the nod over Bryant. I think they can both be monsters at the plate, though.

I think Soler is more likely to be good than great at this point, though I admit it is largely because we really haven't seen what he can do yet.

I just don't see as much upside with Almora and the consistent injuries scare me.

I picture Almora's high as being a perennial .300 hitter. 15-20 homers, and GG defense. Just he's far away and injury issues make it unlikely for him to reach. If he did though, what is that? A 5 or 6 WAR type?

I'm not ready to write off Almora because of injuries. The broken hamate bone was a freak thing and can't happen again. If the groin issues persist then I'm willing to start being skeptical.

I'm not writing him off, I'm ranking him below other talented prospects.

I would be beyond ecstatic with that kind of high end projection.

Almora leads off with a HR in his first AFL AB. Bryant hits a 3 run shot in the 1st as well.

I meant writing him off as injury-prone.

any idea who's pitching?

The 38th pick of this year's draft, Michael Lorenzen. He has only pitched 20 pro innings, and those were in relief, but he was pretty good.
