Iggy to the Warriors.

Bogut/Barnes for Howard still in play??

Curry, Thompson, Iggy, Lee, Howard would be nasty.

That would be pretty damn awesome.

I love the Lakers losing out. They ripped everyone off for him and lose him for nothing. Justice

As a Laker hater, I was hoping he'd return and remain ineffective while tying up a lot of dollars.

Eh, what was their ceiling if Howard came back? They scraped to an 8th seed last year WITH Kobe.

The only FA worth getting in 2014 for that team is Lebron. I don't think having Dwight or not changes Lebron's likelihood of signing there much.

And they gave up Andrew Bynum in the process. No huge loss in retrospect.

To his credit he WAS hurt and fresh off surgery... But still a Lakers loss is enjoyable.

If Dwight was motivated on polishing his game, he'd be more dominant

Dwight Howard is en route to L.A. now to meet with Lakers. I'm told the extra money that he could earn in L.A. is still weighing on Howard.

[expletive] do i hate you Howard

So when it came out earlier that he was headed to Houston, all these alleged reasons leak about how he wasn't comfortable with D'Antoni, didn't want to be second fiddle to Kobe and thought Nash was on his last legs. That would be so funny if he changes his mind over money. Oh hey guys, j/k about all that stuff.

Hearing Houston going after Rajon Rondo now. I'd guess Asik, Lin involved?

I have to admit between some of the draft surprises and the recent FA/trade activity, this feels like a much more interesting NBA off-season than normal.

Knew this would happen.

By the way, errbody, Dwight is a diva, annoying, overrated etc, but he just took less money to go to a better team, have a better chance at a title and didn't draw it out longer than he said he would. Worth mentioning.

Who else could they go after? Parsons? Terrence Jones? I imagine one of Asik/Lin or possibly both have to be in it to make the $$$ work. And then there's always more draft picks.

I know it seems like people are saying "tank for Wiggins", but is he for real? I mean is he on the same level as LeBron/Durant or is it the hype making him better than he really is? I haven't followed high school basketball in so long so I don't really know how good Wiggins is.

Meh were talking 1.6 million less per year and of course one less year on his deal. He should easily make back the 1.6 mil based on no state income taxes in Texas. And he will be I think 31 when the contract is up and should be able to make 20+ mil a year on his next deal if he hasn't broken down and/or continued on his downward trajectory.

Experts are saying, Durant like talent. ...not quite LeBron. When i have seen him play on tv ( McD AA game and 1 reg season game), I've gotten the impression that he's more like Kidd Gilchrist with more natural scoring ability. Can do everything like LeBron but not as well.

I think comparing anyone to KD or LeBron is crazy, as those guys are rare talents.

From what I've seen and read, he's super athletic with good handles and insane body control. He's crazy good in transition, and he has all the tools to be a great defender. It's hard to get a read on his jumper because his highlight reels are almost all dunks, but it's allegedly a solid jumpshot that has improved steadily. As far as his style of play, a lot of KU fans compare his game to young TMac.

There are questions about his killer instinct, since he's allegedly very humble. He also needs to get stronger. I don't see that being a problem. Genetically, he's a freak. His dad was an NBA player, his mom an Olympic sprinter.

he has one move. dribble hard, spin, jump. it will work for approximately one more year before he'll have to add something to it.
