Since obviously no one was watching or cares, DePaul beat Georgetown, ending any chance at an at large for the Hoyas. DePaul will now try and prove that the SI cover jinx is real vs. Doug McDermott and Creighton tonight.

P.S. DePaul's 4 conference wins are their most since they went 9-8 (inc. conf tourney) in 2007. They should still fire their entire athletic department and coaching staff.

But they won't. Seems like one more year for OP. I hate that this win made me slightly excited for another year with Garrett and Hamilton and hopes of at least competing for an NIT bid.

Won't happen. If it was going to happen, it would have been this year with Young and Melvin still around. Despite their flaws, they are eons better than anyone in the pipeline. Unless Garrett somehow becomes a lottery pick next year, DePaul will suck badly again.

Mychael Henry should help them out.

Yup. They don't have any 4 star players or anything coming in, but hopefully the guys coming in fit OPs system. I'm kind of glad Young is graduating, the dude didn't play a lick of defense from what I saw (which admittedly isn't much, maybe 4-5 games a year).

I'm trying to be optimistic here...

I was just thinking. The Big Ten Tourney is going to be interesting next year with 14 teams. 1 and 2 get byes then we have 6 opening round games on Thursday at the UC. They're going to have to start at like 9am CT if they want the games to end by midnight

Is there a way to listen to the illinois game online?

If you have pretty much any cable provider (and have login info) you can watch it on Big Ten 2 Go

They'll likely give double byes to the top 4, single byes to top 10, and make the tourney 5 days

Dammit, yeah that makes sense.

Yeah it will probably be how the ACC is doing it this year, start Wednesday with the top 4 seeds getting double byes and not having their first game until Friday.

Indiana with 4 points in the paint quadrupling up illinois on drawing fouls.

That Malcolm Hill charge was epic. How do you charge a guy who is laying on the ground?

Rice has been terrible offensively for pretty much the entire big ten season

He's a mid major star, will be better if he accepts his lesser role next year.

He just has no idea what constitutes a good shot

Some of it is how bad our offense is and he's forced to shoot crap. Some of it is awful choices.

Indiana is twice as talented as Illinois. They just really suck at playing basketball.

I really only like Vonleh and Ferrell for IU, so while you have more talent, it's not a ton more.

We need to play much better than this to beat michigan obviously. Indiana lovvvves giving away possessions. Really glad to never see sheehey again

If we happened to beat Michigan, would that get us in? Or do we need one more after that?

We'd need no bid thieves and even still would be left to the whims of what the committee values this year. (R/N record good, bad losses bad)

Should be a lock with 3.

Time to root for all tournament locks and Illini opponents for the next 12 hours
