Looks like Ulis is on his way to UK.

Yep, appears to be a done deal. This sucks.

I'm sure Malik Newman will be willing to sit behind Tyler. Bad choice, IMO.

Yeah, he could be a legend at Iowa

He reminds me a bit of Andre Woolridge. Man I'm old.

The guys on Loyalty claiming within two weeks we will be getting a couple '15 recruits.

I may have asked this before, but are any of the Illinois boards out there better than Loyalty? I lurk on Loyalty, and it can be great because of the handful of posters that have seemingly solid inside info, but my god, 80% of the posts on there are awful.

They all are just so so at best, in my opinion.

Now cliff is taking an official visit to Illinois, after KU has their midnight madness. Hopefully he makes it to our official without committing. Although I'm not sure what were going to do on scholarships at that point.

Don't worry; I remember too. Loved him as a player.

Yeah, the composition he described is how it is on just about every Illini board I've been to: a few "insiders", a few good-great posters, and a slew of mouthbreathing idiots (Scout is the one I lurk on the most).

I guess you could say that about most sports forums in general, give or take the insiders.

Re: Scholarships, I'm pretty damn certain Starks is getting 1 year of scholarship one way or another. If he doesn't get the waiver, he'll have a ride this year and have to pay next year. As for Cliff's spot, who knows.

I've read that Paul was offered a chance to play here with the possibility that he would eventually have to walk on. Not sure how solid that info is though.

Even then, that's getting ahead of ourselves. Cliff has to make it out of Lawrence uncommitted before I get too worked up.

I was in high school when he was at Iowa, and being an Illini fan in the IC area, I used to have all kinds of debates with my friends about who was the better of he and Garris.

And yes, realizing how long ago that was is depressing.

I was also in high school and remember playing against him at the Field House during the summers. He was pretty unreal. He and Rob Griffin were unguardable. Most guys you can at least force into taking a tougher shot, those two guys just went to the spot they wanted and you couldn't stop them.

This is the only kind of thing that would make sense to me. There's almost no chance we lose anyone to the NBA after this season and I can't really see anyone losing their scholarship unless there was already an understanding in place.

I wonder how much longer the Starks thing will be. I would assume they would be deciding on him soon. I saw that Michael Dixon was cleared to play, have to think if he's cleared they are pretty much clearing everyone.

Vince Edwards to Purdue.

Yeah, he's not a 5 star but he's a very good fit for our system and Painter has been recruiting the kid for a couple years. We also added Dakota Mathias a very good outside shooter we desperately needed. Both are only 3 stars (Edwards was a 4 star for a long time until the last update, he was hurt throughout AAU this year) but both are Top 150 kids. Now if we can get Ronnie Harrell and find a big man I'll be pumped.

Donnie Hale is leaving Purdue as well. That's the 4th player with eligibility to leave this offseason.

I've been out of the loop on Purdue basketball stuff for awhile, but who are the other 3?

Marcius to DePaul, Lawson to Appalachian State, Anthony Johnson to Northern Illinois

Purdue lands Jacquil Taylor a desperately needed big man if Hammons leaves after this year.

Still have 3 scholarships to give in 2014 if wanted. My guess is they bank them for 15'.

Michigan picks up 4 star wing, Kameron Chatman, #32 ranked player in 2014 class. Should be a pretty good replacement for GRIII after this year.
