Cubs look to start a winning steak but face a formidable foe in the Braves. (not Corey) Feldman makes his debut for the Cubs and goes against right hander Mike Minor.

Temps should be in the 60's, so hopefully the Cubs bats will come alive....or at least spots 1-6 because that's all we can hope for.

I want 2 of 3 again. Our bats have been asleep. There's not a,pitching matchup in this series that scares me. This one, Villanueva vs Teheran, and Shark vs Hudson are all winnable. It'd be great to take a 4-2 record home for Milwaukee. Do good in that one and theres a good feeling about the 4 gamer with San Fran even.

Feldman and Villanueva against the Braves lineup definitely scares me.

Fun fact (even though I fully realize it means nothing), the last time the Cubs were in first place for four days in a row was Aug 3-6, 2009. Last time for five straight days was 2008.

Last year, the best the Cubs did was fourth place for all of three days, 2011 they were in first place for one day and 2010 the best they did was second place.

For those who are out of the area and don't have EI or MLBTV, this game is also on MLB Network.

Frank Wren evidently threw a,hissy fit because our pitching staff wouldn't leave the outfield when the Braves took batting practice.

Good lord. How many pitches did Minor throw that inning? Like 5?

Some pretty horrendous hacks from Sappelt and Rizzo on the K pitches. Oy.

At least Starlin made contact. More than Sappelt or Rizzo can say.

At least Rizzo actually attempted to work a proper at bat.

First time I've listened to the new TV combo. Not a big fan of Deshaies' voice. Not very strong. Hopefully the analysis is good.
