I wish I shared you optimism. I got 79 wins...

I only have 84. Not much difference really, I just expect Hosmer to have a big enough year to help push the win total up.

Awful offense obviously. Feldman wasn't great but he wasn't awful either. He damn near got off the hook and could have only yielded two runs. Which probably would have just made it more frustrating to lose 2-1 instead of 4-1.

I know nobody is really hitting well right now but when I see our lineup for each game I don't mind the top 5 or so hitters. My eyes just glaze over after that.

2-2, banking on Shark to get us to at least 3-3 heading into the opening homestand.

We have three hitters who are batting over .200, Starlin has a .375 OPS, Rizzo is at .600 and Soriano is .267. We have a collective hitting line of .133/.188/.233.

Yet we're 2-2. I realize Shark and Wood aren't going to combine for 14 shutout innings every time out, but the hitters listed above also aren't going to continue to hit like that. I'm happy with the .500 record considering how terrible the hitting has been.

Get one of the next two and head back to Chicago at 3-3.
