The person who voted Underwood should probably post their reasoning.

hmm...

I can tell who is casting bogus votes by looking through the database. I can easily block them from voting in the future by banning them from the minor league forum.

In other words, would someone care to justify voting for Duane Underwood?

I don't disagree but then I guess it raises the question, why is Underwood even an option if anybody even remotely informed who would vote for him is clearly [expletive] around?

I'm saying this knowing that I think we all know there won't be an actual justification for Underwood as our #1 prospect.

Mainly because I said I'd post around 10 options for each vote. If someone legitimately feels Underwood is the #1 prospect, then post a rationale and I'm fine with it. If someone is voting for someone else just to be a troll, I'm not.

BURN HIM AT THE STAKE

No...just have him justify his vote.

There's 14 options? And Josh Vitters is one? I'm guessing it could be reduced.

For this vote, it probably doesn't need to be more than four long

Man, I was going to vote for Vitters as a joke, but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn

I feel like, at the top of the list, to lessen the odd votes, it might be better to limit it to 5 or so guys. I think most of us agree that there is a top tier of about 3-5 guys. But that's me. Anyhow, my vote is Baez.

Yeah...I don't want this run as a joke.

I've never even heard of Duane Underwood.

Baez is pretty clearly #1 in our system. This really shouldn't be a vote.

The only acceptable answers for #2 and #3 are Soler and Almora, not necessarily in that order.

Thanks for voting appropriately. Sorry for calling you out like that, but I do want people to limit themselves to real votes.

You probably should. He's definitely not one of our very top prospects yet, but he's an interesting piece.

I voted Almora; his work ethic in particular and scouting reports at draft remind me vaguely of Tyler Colvin, who noone thought would develop power. I think the younger, more talented Almora will develop similarly (with regards to improvement in power), and I think the ceiling that implies, combined with his lower risk, makes him a better prospect than Baez.

Also, Baez played a season (really more, with a delay from the management change) under Hendry's development system, which probably delayed his development.

Pierce Johnson would win if it were a porn prospect list.

I'd have to believe Almora is the only one who any could have a real argument about topping Baez, but given Baez's superstar upside I still think it's him by a good amount.

You do realize that Baez's offensive upside is the whole reason the overwhelming majority voted him #1, right?

That is a rhetorical question.
