Since I'm the only A&M fan on NSBB that pretty much relegates me to "one man A&M Homer Defense Force" in the eyes of posters here.

 

And to clarify, I meant that I don't really care what posters here think of ME. People are going to hate A&M and wish bad things upon us because our QB has acted like a spoiled rich kid this offseason. To blame that on me is laughable.

 

I find the notion that you care more about what people think of your school's football program than what they think of you absolutely fascinating. I mean it's hardly a unique phenomenon (most common among soccer hooligans and southerners), but it's just so bizarre.

1. Why would I care what anonymous internet jackasses think of me? Do you take this place that seriously that you are concerned how other posters view you?

2. I am not a southerner. I was born & raised in the Chicago suburbs.

Good question. In the end it doesn't really matter what anyone posts here but I care a lot about my alma mater and don't want it to be portrayed negatively anywhere. I assume most people feel that way about their school. I know I go overboard at times (probably most of the time) but that's just how I am. It's not specific to A&M even though that's pretty much all anyone on NSBB knows about me. I'm like that most of the time about everything I love and feel passionate about.

I'm sure a lot of us do feel that way about our schools. The difference is, had Manziel done all of the above while at Iowa for example, I'd probably be saying something like "what a dumbass" rather than trying to legitimize the dumb [expletive] he did. Every university has their skeletons, and a whole lot of athletes do a whole lot of really stupid stuff. There's way too much smoke for there not to be a fire somewhere, and pretending otherwise is foolish.

Every university has their skeletons, and a whole lot of athletes do a whole lot of really stupid stuff. Go back and re-read my posts. I've ripped him for a lot of the dumb [expletive] he's done this offseason and I said in the last day or two that he's most likely guilty.

 

You guys are going to feel silly when you realize Old Style went to Texas Southern, not A&M (whatever that is)

Not even sure why I'm bothering to respond to you, but I actually have an Aggie Ring and a degree from Texas A&M. The Texas Southern grads are the ones with the burnt orange uterus on their chest.

So if these brokers start singing, are all these guys screwed? I mean, why would you sign a few hundred pics and helmets and whatever if you weren't getting paid? Would they really not think they'd get caught? It sort of baffles me.

Yeah, that's what happens when your HC has to cover for the RB coach (whose brother just died of a heart attack). Just wait until we line up behind the defense this season. We'll be unstoppable.

I liked how the kid questioned it, knowing it was backwards, and then did it anyway when Kelly told him to. That's a kid that follows direction. He didn't even half ass it either, he hit it going pretty fast.
