Did he trip over his gf?

Sounds like Dee Milliner just made it unlikely he'll still be on the board for the Lions at #5.

Landry runs almost like he's sitting down in a seat.

EDIT: Found better GIF.

Wow. Walter Football's latest mock has us bypassing our pick of the TE litter, OT Fluker and LB Ogletree for WR Tavon Austin in the first round and OL Kyle Long in the second round.

Better get Albert, then.

I think the Bears will let Melton walk. Franchising and getting a top OL in FA isn't a reasonable idea

Just looked at the latest mock. I would be ok with Austin/Long/Sims for the Bears, but if I was the Bears GM and this is how the draft went... Draft Austin in the 1st and I would trade up in the 2nd 4-5 spots (would a 5th or future 4th be enough with the 50th?) and draft Ertz. Then in the 4th, I would replace Sims with Schwenke. Austin/Ertz/Schwenke would be pretty ideal, but it won't happen. Not sure why Schwenke is still mocked in the 4th.

If that's how the draft turns out, I'd to look at trading down (or trading up from the second as Splendid Splinter suggested).

If the Bears let Melton go, they have to go DT in the first round. Hope they get two offensive linemen in free agency if they let Melton go.

I really see Melton being locked in longterm. The franchise tag is a reasonable price, but we need as much room as possible. I think Peanut gets an extension and Hester and Spencer get cut. Should be enough to keep Melton, sign Albert, and keep Urlacher, in my opinion.(still love the Rotoworld prediction though)

I don't see how they have enough cap space. They need a third and forth corner/nickel plus at least 2 LBs. also what about a third DE? Izzy is gone.

Restructuring Peppers or extending Tillman could possibly free up some cap space.

Cap space is never as dire as it looks thanks to restructuring, cuts, etc. Nickel corners can come cheap and be drafted in the middle rounds. Idonije could easily re-sign for a cap-friendly deal plus McClellin might play DE.

If Melton bolts, DT becomes the #1 priority (assuming you use Melton's savings on the OL). You're not starting Collins next to Paea.

The whole Te'o situation is stupid. The hoax thing is either him being stupid or him being forced to lie forhis Heisman campaign. Its over. It was dumb.

The 40 isn't a big deal either. Anyone who thought he was more than a 4.75 speed at best was kidding themselves. He looked the same he does on the field running the 40 and in drills. His stock should have never been in the top 10. And he still made enough plays on the field that he will go top 40....probably even still late 1st.
