i'd love to be able to trade up in the second and get both fluker and jones.

I'd be fine with Frederick instead of Jones but either would make for a great first two picks.

Marquis Goodwin ran a hand time 4.19 40. Wonder if he will still try for the Olympics in 3 years or just focus on football. Could be a nice 3rd round steal for someone.

Wow... who hand timed him with that speed? NFL Network had him at 4.25 and 4.29.

@nflnetwork: Mayock says 'several scouts' for one team clocked Goodwin at 4.19 (unofficial). #NFLCombine

Yeah, just heard Mayock say that (I'm watching on a delay). Really impressive.

Cordarrelle Patterson ran a 4.37 his first time - that's amazing at his size.

yikes, looks like we wouldn't have to trade up for jones. didn't see the walter mock.

I think Jones is an early 2nd rounder.

I wouldn't mind Austin at WR in the second

Yeah, Cordarelle's a top-10 pick at this point.

I like Austin and I like Markus Wheaton a lot if the Bears go WR 2nd rounder.

He really should be the first WR off the board. I honestly didn't expect his straight line speed to be quite that good - I was expecting in the 4.5 range.

Yeah, I like both Oregon St. guys. Bears have picked from there each of the last 2 years, if they do so this year it will be in the 2nd and it would be Wheaton or Jordan Poyer (CB).

Think Tavon is going late 1st though. A playoff team like NE or Houston that needs some speed could take him. He'd also help both teams' return games as the Pats will lose Welker and maybe Edelman too.

Keep having visions of Charles Rogers with Patterson. All the talent in the world, but I don't know that I can pick a WR in the top 10 that doesn't also have dominant performances on the field.

That's understandable. He was pretty productive if you take into account running the ball and returns, but his route running is suspect at best and his hands need some work. I really think another year in college would have increased his chances of excelling at the NFL level.

You're probably right that Austin has clinched a late first round spot.

Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei has a heart condition that prevented him from working out at the NFL Combine, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Lotulelei's left ventricle is only pumping blood at 44 percent, below the normal threshold between 55 and 70 percent.

Wow, how bad is this for Lotulelei I wonder?

Wow, that's crazy. I assume he'll tumble - heart conditions are no joke, especially for big guys like linemen.

Teo just ran 4.81in his 1st attempt in the 40.

Must really be carrying a heavy burden.

I'm guessing the Chicago media will be impressed with the level of maturity he showed while running that slowly.
