Maybe I'm an idiot, a meatball, a prisoner of the moment, or all of the above, it's certainly possible, but I got to tell you, if GS called up this summer and offered Curry for Rose, I take that deal. All hypothetical of course....

This is a bad basketball decision, but it's not crazy and Derrick has absolutely earned this kind of skepticism.

He's certainly not a great coach.

He's pretty good, man.

Maybe Wilson confused the poster Gammons Pocket Tweets for Peter Gammons?

Media already saying Bulls don't need Rose and wondering who a good trade partner is

Minnesota for Love. Who cares that they have Rubio?

It's going to suck to lose Nate next year because Jerry wants to save money.

They don't have Bird rights to him, so any team can just price him beyond what the Bulls can legally afford (the MLE, basically, since the Bulls are up against the hard cap), and they will.

They can't even offer that much unless they clear salary. Right now, signing Nate to an MLE deal would put the Bulls over the apron (unless the luxury tax level skyrockets) and you can't go over the apron when using the MLE. They'll probably be limited to offering one of Robinson or Bellinelli the mini MLE unless they decide to dump a big salary.

Love what Noah said (even though I'm irked at Rose). Would expect nothing less from these Bulls.

Robinson won't be important when Rose gets back. They won't need his scoring too much. He seems to really love this team and the city from the news conference last night, but others have and left. If he's too expensive, not a huge loss. Just wait until the 'Crap what is Nate doing game.' It will come.

Nate is one of the best backup point guards in the NBA.

I don't think we will see that Nate, unless we somehow win the series. There's probably going to be a game or two when we'll need him to do his isolation thing because we won't have any other options and since it's against Miami there's a chance he won't get hot and it will seem like he's being dumb. Plus, Thibs is pretty good at pulling him when he gets dumb (but that's a tough option to take when the PG options are Teague and Bellinelli behind him)

There's a lot to dislike about Nate's game but even with a healthy Rose, Robinson's ability to create off the dribble and provide instant offense off the bench would be invaluable. He's the only guy besides Rose who can create off the dribble.

Asik was the best backup center and looked good when Noah was out, but don't overrate the value of a backup when he gets extra minutes.

Yes Nate does things no one else on the team can do, but that's why you find someone else this summer.

With a healthy Derrick Rose on the team next year, would you rather have Nate Robinson or Marco Bellineli? I think I'd rather have Marco.

Nate can serve a purpose as a great scoring guard off the bench. Point or undersized 2. It's really irrelevant that he is only 5'8 because the league is littered with 6-2, 6-3 combo guards and it unless you are facing a legit 6-6 guard, you are not going to have a horrible size disadvantage.

And Asik went on to Houston and excelled in a starters role as well. I really don't get your point.

It would be nice to find a way to keep both.

Some people look better when they start, but don't overvalue and overpay people if they aren't starting for you next year.

I take it you didn't pay attention to Asik in Houston.

Asik is an elite defender. He displayed elite defender characteristics as a back up for the Bulls and also displayed those as a starter for the Rockets. There was no mirage of his play based on playing time. I have no idea what the [expletive] you are babbling about.

My point is that Asik was not worth $15 million to the Bulls. Nate won't be worth whatever he will get to the Bulls when you have a better version than Nate in Rose.

Omer Asik was most certainly worth 25 million over 3 years to the Bulls.

Omer was a guy who can guard Lebron. He's very valuable.
