Please don't lay over for the next 4 like the '11 ECF

Yeah, they didn't lay over for those 4, but whatever.

I must admit I only really remember the horrible end to game 5, I apologize to the '10-'11 Chicago Bulls.

If Butler is off the floor, the Heat can pretty much do what they want.

If I were drawing up the Heat gameplan, I would go at Butler hard early in the game and try to get him into foul trouble. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Well Spoelstra is an awful coach, so hopefully they don't figure anything out.

Spoelstra is not an awful coach

He's certainly not a great coach.

I don't even like the [expletive] Bulls and that game was fun to watch. Yes, soften up Miami for the Pacers. Hit them hard and often. :good:

Better figure out how to beat the Bulls!

I'm surprised that they didn't put LeBron on Nate during the last few possessions

They'd have just gone after Allen and/or Chalmers. Miami didn't hit shots to make offense/defense subs, but if they could have I would have suspected they would have put him on Nate (Battier on Butler, Wade on Belinelli).

I think lost in all the well deserved oohing and ahhing over Butler is how well rounded and skilled Noah has become in pretty much every facet of the game. About the only other thing you could ask of him is to develop that jumper a bit more and maybe a couple more post moves. But man, he really allows them to do a lot of things on both ends of the floor because he covers so much ground on defense and is such a good passer and finisher with that left hand.

Lebron was scared of being JL3'd again

I don't know if it's just a Thibs thing or if they'd have gotten that good either way, but those two players have developed really, REALLY well.

So, does this set up for a Heat win in game 2, then a triumphant return for Rose in game 3?

Totally could see this happening.

Why do I let myself think this could happen.

This is why I wanted the Bulls to beat the Nets. It makes a much more interesting storyline as opposed to seeing the Nets roll over and die in 4 straight games.

Yeah, but the Bulls would have a well-rested Rose.

Congrats to the Bulls play by play guy on Sirius channel 85 who's giving the no. 1 over the top homer performance I have ever heard.

Is there a timetable for Deng? I'd love to throw Deng at Lebron too, and allow Butler some actual rest plus throw Butler on Wade when Deng is guarding Lebron.

They dont seem to really have a grasp on Dengs situation at this point.

Yeah, seems like a wait and see at this point. Sounds like he's still sick from the original illness and also recovering from the botched spinal tap on top of it.

I'm gonna guess Game 3 is the earliest we should expect him to return.
