So...the Pacers won on back to back to back nights.

meh we did that last year.

Does suck to see the Bulls go from 1 game up on the pacers to 1 game back having only played 1 game themselves.

Didn't everyone do the back to back to back thing last year?

Yeah...but not everyone won all 3 of the games.

Makes sense if they aren't trying to beat the Heat this year. But if they are (and they probably should), they have to keep Boozer.

Why does Boozer matter against the Heat? Seems to me this move is based in part on the fact that they're comfortable with moving Butler to the 2 guard if they can get some more outside shooting elsewhere.

AB has been pretty bad this season, but he was good the last couple years. He doesn't have much help up front. Playing with Noah, Taj and Deng could hide his weaknesses (defense and rebounding) and enhance his strengths (shooting and passing). Plus we theoretically save several million under the cap by unloading Boozer.

maybe thibs just wants to flex and see if he can plug Bargnani into ***the system*** and still make the defense work

The defense would be absolutely fine. Bargnani is no worse of a defender than Boozer. Might be tough for Bargnani to quickly adapt to the system mid-season, but in the long run he would be fine. I'd be somewhat worried about the rebounding, however, getting a stretch 4 means you can play Butler at the 2 more and he's statistically one of the best rebounding guards/wings in the league.

I'm still on the fence. I'd lean towards not doing it because you lose the flexibility of being able to amnesty a large contract (Boozer) to create cap space if you have a chance at someone like Love during the 2014 offseason.

I had to do a double-take on the score. They gave up 128 points in regulation? WTFH?

Most points in Bulls/Thibs history. Bad night, banged up bigs, and playing in Denver. One of those you just have to forget about.

The Carlos Boozer-Andrea Bargnani trade talks between the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors are apparently on hold at the moment, but they could reopen at any time. And if they do, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports that the deal could expand to also include a swap of point guards Nate Robinson and John Lucas III.

Sounds unlikely because of Booz's contract though.

Getting rid of Boozer won't help. We will have over $50 million committed for 2014.

Isn't Nate Robinson a slighty better scoring/slightly worse defending verision of John Lucas?

I'd say Nate is a much better scorer. But also he's making less than JL3, so I'm sure it's part of making the money work.

Yeah, Bargnani really isn't good. I don't see the point of targeting him.

Neither is Boozer. At least Bargnani can open up the floor for Rose when he comes back. It's a big-time gamble though, given the chemistry of this team and the fact that Bargnani is viewed as not very motivated.
