Why do I get the feeling that the Orioles are about to give up 2 runs to lose the series?

Because you are a Cubs fan therefore you are naturally pessimistic when it comes to baseball.

That and that's what is about to happen here.

Or because Johnson blew the save in Game 3 and gave up five runs in the ninth inning in Game 1?

That doesn't help either.

First time ever with four Game 5's. This is awesome.

Go Beltway!

Got to love how jacked up the Oakland crowd is in this situation, Wrigley would be a morgue right now.

I'm thinking that Oakland has the best fans in sports (at least when they show up). Raiders, Warriors and playoff A's games have all been rowdy and at times it is that way when their teams aren't good/in the game.

I know it's elimination game, but do you really want your ace out there up 6 with 111 pitches?

he's been ridden about as hard as any modern team rides a pitcher the last four years. 953 regular season innings and averaging nearly 115 pitches per outing. if leyland hasn't killed him now, another inning with a comfortable lead isn't going to make much of a difference. dude just has a rubber arm.

If you have to add the caveat of at least when they show up, they're not the best fans in sports. And I'm not just talking when the team isn't good. On the final weekend of the year, with A's inching closer to a playoff spot, they drew 16376, 21517 and 21057.

Oh my god I cannot believe somebody said this.

Seriously, I cannot believe somebody tried to say that.

They drew less than 1.7 million people in an absolute dream of a season. Plus, Raiders fans are pretty much the worst human beings on the planet.

A-Rod benched for Yanks/Orioles Game 5.

I hadn't really looked at his season until the playoffs, but he's become a remarkably ordinary player. He's one more year of decline away from not even being a starter.

Yep, it's a sexy contract that makes Sorianos look like a bargain.

Only five more years of paying him like one of the top few players in the game to be a tick above replacement level.
