TIL Dee Gordon is currently batting .437/.461/.521/.982 and has been worth 2.2 fWAR, second most in the majors behind Mike Trout.

Up to .439 now. Unsurprisingly, his BABIP is .495. He's 26-46 (.565) over his last 11 games.

Fun fact #1: Tapatalk doesn't censor swear words with the new board upgrade, and reading the game threads is a much more different experience.

Fun fact #2: The two-headed monster of Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller have combined this season for the following stat line:

35.0 IP 0.00 ERA 56 K 16 BB 2.5 rWAR 1.7 fWAR

Fun Fact #3: After tonight 19 of Mark Teixeira's 24 hits have been either a double (8) or a home run (11). He also has a 20:18 BB:K ratio. You'd think a guy hitting for that much power with so few K's and so many walks would be hitting a lot better than .239. The culprit is probably the .152 BABIP he had entering today's game. I find all those numbers completely strange when lumped together.

Did anyone else realize the Minnesota Twins currently have a better record than the Cubs (18-15)? I had absolutely no idea.

The Dodgers offense is so filthy. Minimum 50 PAs, they have 6 of the top 15 wOBA. Those 6 play 5 positions, so they have to keep a 1.000 OPS out of the lineup everyday, and Puig is going to be a 7th person in that 5 position rotation soon enough. Some of those numbers are due to platoon advantage, but there's really no reason at all for Carl Crawford to be on that team anymore.

Their position players as a group have a .379 wOBA. That would rank 29th of qualified individual hitters if you took out the two Dodgers near the top of the list. The wRC+ gap between them and the 2nd best team(Royals) is the same as the gap between 2nd and 24th. Absurd.

In what was sure to be a night they will remember for the rest of their lives, a group of excited Brewers players stayed after the team’s game against the White Sox Thursday evening to go onto the field and run the bases at Miller Park, sources confirmed.

Several onlookers also added that it was adorable seeing several of the younger rookies being guided by team mascot Bernie Brewer after running in the wrong direction.
