It's a redneck event that takes place at a bar called The Florabama (it's on the Florida/Alabama border) there people show up in the thousands, get drunk on the beach, and throw mullets around for a competition and get hammered. I've been once since I've been here because people wouldn't shut the [expletive] up about it, and that was one time too many. It's thousands of people at one location and nearly all of them are either drunk rednecks or good ol' southern folk who believe in a good time and following Widespread Panic around the country.

Rocker fits right in next to the [expletive].

Man... SB Nation blogs can get pretty sad/ugly in a hurry.

Josh, when you finally die of a drug related matter it won't be Arte Moreno's fault. It won't be the fault of the good fans in Anaheim who figured out your little game. They might have Donnie Moore's karma on them but they won't have yours. As much as I would like to say the blame for your future fate lies with the enabling national media and coddling players union, I think of Steve Howe's face crushed against his truck's windshield on a lonely interstate highway with crystal meth in his bloodstream and I know that all the blame will be on you, all of it, as it was with Howe.

what in the actual [expletive]

Looks like the post was deleted. I was hoping that there would be a bunch of condemnation in the comments, but it took a depressingly long scroll to the bottom to see that, and even then it wasn't from Angels fans but other SBN writers who were embarrassed to be associated with it.

This is very random, but what ever happened to that Cuban pitcher the Phillies signed that we had some rumored interest in?

An MRI showed right shoulder inflammation for Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez.

The right-hander will be shut down 2-3 weeks before being re-evaluated. Gonzalez was recently outrighted off the Phillies' 40-man roster, and he's currently at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The team's $12 million commitment to the Cuban pitcher continues to look like a poor investment. Apr 8 - 7:38 PM

I was thinking about talking about this earlier.

With the success of the Astros and Cubs doing the full tank & rebuild, how many teams will try to copycat the process?

The Brewers have almost no choice but to head that way...not that it means they have the FO to get it done.

For small market teams it's been a pretty common practice, if not intentionally, then just due to circumstance. Whether we'll see a larger market do it or to the level of the Cubs... I doubt it.

But what the Astros and Cubs did weren't just one exceptionally terrible season. It was a long term commitment. Are the Brewers gonna be up for that?
