Illinois shot 32%, 25% from 3, had more fouls than Minnesota, and got outrebounded 36-24.

I understand not focusing on how a team finishes due to unbalanced schedules. But when a team looks like total [expletive] for 2 months, the "whole body of work" gets annoying. Minnesota's resume is better than most of the last at-larges so they'll be in, but they just suck right now.

They beat a 1 seed 2 weeks ago. Don't punish a team for being really [expletive] good early in the year.

Richmond was up 3 on Charlotte with 5.9 left. They fouled with 4.7 left to send Charlotte to the line for a 1 and 1. He made the first, then a Richmond player shoved down a Charlotte guy after it went in which resulted in a dead ball technical. Charlotte made the 2nd from the initial 1 and 1 then both technical free throws, then were fouled on the inbounds pass with 2.8 left, then Chris Mooney (Richmond coach) got 2 technicals to get ejected.

Charlotte then made the 4 technical free throws to go up 68-63 and win. From up 3 with 5.9 left to down 5 on 8 free throws. Never seen anything like that.

I'd love to see the UI-IU game end like that tomorrow and watch Crean lose his mind getting ejected.

I don't recall Crean ever receiving a technical foul at IU. He's a spazz, but he does very, very little screaming at officials compared to other coaches.

That's because all you remembered was losing by 90 when he received them.

It's pretty funny that the search for 'Tom Crean Technical Foul' returns 'Tom Crean Sends Creepy Text to Recruit?'

Ha, ok, touche. So it's been three years? Still pretty uncommon (heck, most IU fans complain that he should yell at officials more . . .).

Which sort of proves my point, no?! Tom Crean: creepy, maybe; ref-screamer, not really.

To be fair, the first four results were about him getting ejected from games...

Two were from the same game three years ago, one from a game four years ago, and another predicting a technical foul in the next game while he was coaching Marquette. Not exactly a trend.

It's hard to focus on yelling when you're working so hard adjusting your pants all game.

He does have an awful tailor (or no tailor at all). Though, in his defense, most Americans have no clue how a suit should fit.

I don't think PSU has had a single defensive stop this half

It would be much less of a problem if they could actually score.

Wouldn't have mattered. Michigan scored on nearly every possession in the 2nd half.

That fatty from Nebraska has to go at least 4 bills.

Marcius is a strong dude and he's getting pushed around with ease.

WOW

They just had it on ESPN and I think I saw this right - on that immediate foul on the inbounds after the first technical the refs gave Charlotte an act of shooting foul at midcourt as soon as they caught it, so they got 3 free throws. Sure the guy might have been pretending to shoot it, but nobody ever gets that call, ever. That's when the Richmond coach lost it and got kicked out. Justifiably so I'd say. That was some shady officiating.
