I'm not sure Brandon Paul has ever taken a good shot. Just bad shots that fall on occasion.

Minnesota is still a very quality team, and top 10 capable when they feel like playing hard.

I'm stuck at work, how did Minnesota look? Like they had any interest in being there or like a team anyone should feel comfortable with picking to do anything in the NCAA Tournament?

Yeah that game sucked. Illinois' offense, especially their zone offense at times was, ick. Minnesota looked about like the Minnesota I've seen for the last 2 months except for the IU game.

I understand not focusing on how a team finishes due to unbalanced schedules. But when a team looks like total [expletive] for 2 months, the "whole body of work" gets annoying. Minnesota's resume is better than most of the last at-larges so they'll be in, but they just suck right now.

Richmond was up 3 on Charlotte with 5.9 left. They fouled with 4.7 left to send Charlotte to the line for a 1 and 1. He made the first, then a Richmond player shoved down a Charlotte guy after it went in which resulted in a dead ball technical. Charlotte made the 2nd from the initial 1 and 1 then both technical free throws, then were fouled on the inbounds pass with 2.8 left, then Chris Mooney (Richmond coach) got 2 technicals to get ejected.

 

Charlotte then made the 4 technical free throws to go up 68-63 and win. From up 3 with 5.9 left to down 5 on 8 free throws. Never seen anything like that.

Unfortunately they were all in a 2 minute span toward the end of the first half when Abrams decided to play with his head up his ass. They should have been up 20 at the break instead of 9 and the game wouldn't have been anywhere near close. They still do way too many dumb things, but Groce has them on the right track at least.
