That was great. I think they are ready for Saturday night. By far the best game they have played all year.

Definitely. I like the fact that Saturday is late night at Assembly Hall. Crowd should be nuts.

73% of IU's points scored by players leaving (one way or another), 8% for Purdue. Purdue Freshmen scored 72% of their points. Trying to find something positive...

Yeah . . . Pretty sure it was the refs that caused that 37-point demolition.

Who are you talking to? This dejected Purdue fan that has not mentioned the refs at all? Or the one that was complaining about fouls in the first half and admitted defeat long ago regardless of the foul situation?

He's just gloating, let him have it.

Hopefully Hammons averages 30ppg the rest of the year and leaves :D

Very impressive. He needs help though.

Purdue is going to have a very nice backcourt next year. That, combined with Hammons, is going to make for a pretty darn good team (you can play four-out, one-in nowadays). But the rest of the frontcourt will remain a pretty big question mark.

Hammons obviously is ready now. Not sure how long Painter can convince him to stick around, but they should get at least one more year out of him. Ronnie really needs a lot of polish. A LOT. I'm hoping he can get that shot under control this summer. I'm confident Davis will be the go to player starting next year. Hale and Lawson look to be very good role players. I think Lawson will be a solid starter his junior and senior years. Simpson is a wild card.

If Stephens can come in next year and make people respect Purdue's outside game, Purdue could quickly find themselves back at the top of the Big 10 standings. I hope so at least.

Smotherman has been shooting really well too and has grown to 6' 7". From what GBI has been saying he's a totally different player than he was last year.

edit: and Hammons will be back for another year, he was fantastic tonight but he struggled the last three games. I think he stays three years personally.

My updated final four:

Michigan

Florida

Kansas

Louisville

Hard to argue with your first three. I'm not as sold on Louisville though.

I think Louisville just has too much talent and will put it together when the time comes.

Indiana/Michigan should be fun. I hate that the game in Ann Arbor is the last B10 game of the season. I feel like it will be overshadowed by the B1G and NCAA tourneys (which is maybe a good thing if UM doesn't win). I'd rather this one be at Michigan. Oh well.

I'll need to be talked into Louisville at this point too. I think I like IU or Syracuse a little better right now.
