That's why I think it just wasn't realistic from a working with the White Sox ownership standpoint; logistically it just makes a lot more sense than Milwaukee. Milwaukee has the roof and a ton of Cubs fans to sell tickets, but you'd be a lock to sell more at the Cell. My guess is that if there was any talk across town it quickly evaporated due to revenue discussions.

Seems Rahm would have insisted on keeping the revenue in town given his leverage with the Wrigley plan.

On the flip side, the Cubs spending a year at Miller probably would have bankrupted the rooftop owners.

There was some merit to the idea... :-k

good point, might have been some negotiating leverage there....

They're already there.

Can't imagine how badly it would hurt the bars too.

If anyone was wondering, June 11th was the first game that the Cubs offered bleacher tickets for purchase today.

Promotional emails went out today for Budweiser Bleacher Fridays. The first one they have scheduled is Beach Bash on May 29th.

So, I've noticed they haven't really addressed improvements to the visitor's clubhouse. They can't be leaving it quite as terrible as it is, can they?

At the very least, if they're giving the home team access to batting tunnels during games (the ones they're putting where the current home clubhouse is), I'm pretty sure they have to provide similar facilities to the visitors.

yeah, new home clubhouse is phase 2 - which i'm assuming they'll be working on through the summer as it's outside the park. just saying i haven't seen any reference to what's being done with the visitor facilities.

I think it is on the same schedule as the home facilities, which is to say, down the road.

why are they placing part of it behind the scoreboard?

[expletive] it Tunney

Moving the Bean to directly behind the scoreboard is a dubious decision as well.

It appears they have reconfigured the L tracks as well. This should benefit my apartment.

I think they just put that there to compare the size.

so i'm not sure, but from some of the pictures, it seems like the cubs might have "secretly" enlarged some outfield doors anyway when they rebuilt the right field wall. i'm not sure, but i think it may have been slipped under the rug when they applied for some more permitting or something.

Wasn't the hearing on the rooftop injunction right around now?
