Durant had 51 and Westbrook had 40 tonight vs Denver. The last people to score 40+ for the same team in a game were guys named Jordan and Pippen.

OT. Not impressed.

if you weight it based on a 48 minute nba game, durant would've had 46 points and westbrook 36. that is damn impressive.

only two other times has it ever happened before, both 3OT games that were like 180-170

That must just be regular season. Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose both had 40 points in a playoff game that ended in regulation.

He's talking about one teammate going 50+ and the other going 40+. Both of those other instances were 3OT games. Jordan and Pippen were the last teammates to both go 40+ in a game (though only regular season, apparently).

The Lakers are thoroughly kicking the [expletive] out of Portland right now. Up 44-18 with 5 left in the 2nd qtr. Bynum already has a double-double.

I think the worst it got was 39-9 at some point early in the 2nd.

After Raymond Felton hit a 3 to start the game, the Lakers went on a 37-4 run over the next 14:31. They scored 10 straight points to start the run and 21 straight to end it.

This is the same Lakers team that only yesterday trailed Phoenix by 16 at the end of the first quarter, 23 at halftime and by 27 in the third quarter.

How could Kobe, a veteran of 15+ years, demand a resolution to all trade rumors. Hes been through some big deals/near deals, how does he not get how this works. Kupchak cant resolve the rumors unless, (i) he pulls Pau off the table or (ii) accepted a deal right now for Pau. He really cant do either. He needs to move Pau or Bynum, and takign whatever deal is their now makes no sense with 2 weeks to go before the deadline. This is kinda like his preseason refusal to meet with Mike Brown becasue they didnt hire Shaw.

When did star players begin to think they are GMs? This isnt the way it is in any other sport, and its a recent phenomenon in the NBA.

Define recent? Brian Hill was forced out from the Magic over 15 years ago.

So Oden is going to manage a total of 82 games played in his first 5 seasons, 22 minutes per game played, and might be done as a player.

What a disaster of a #1 pick

Portland should never take the frail center, no matter what everyone tells them to do.

I think he's probably just sticking up for his teammate, trying to get pau back in the game

This is a really weak suspension.

Eh, to me it looked pretty clear that he whipped the ball at the ref. The ref definitely wasn't prepared for it and the ball wasn't just tossed softly to him. Do I think what he did was all that bad? No, but based on previous suspensions in the NBA 2 games makes sense. Maybe 1 game plus the ejection he got would have been a little better.

Then again, I don't like Ronda so my judgement is probably biased.

Charles Oakley went hard in the paint on Kevin Garnett:

Appearing on Jim Rome’s radio show, Oakley said of Garnett, “He’s not a tough guy. He’s one of the weakest players to ever play the game at the position.

Apropos of nothing, but I just thought it was amusing.

I dont particularly like Rondo (the person, not necessarily his abilities which I respect) but he obviously deserves to be in the ASG over Joe Johnson. Johnson isnt even having that good of a season at all. I was wondering why there wasnt more of an uproar that he made it over guys like Rondo and Josh Smith.
