LSU WR Russell Shepherd is skipping his senior year and going to declare for the draft. His college numbers were unimpressive, but he's got good measureables and should post some good numbers at the combine.

 

Any WR's numbers would take a hit if they only had Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee throwing to them.

Anybody watching the Senior Bowl today?

 

I am. Russel Wilson has looked pretty good. I'm intrigued by him, depending on where he goes.

 

The player that intriques me the most is Janoris Jenkins. Has hell of a lot of talent, but the character concerns are real. He claims to have learned from it...but who really knows.

 

The Cowboys could use a CB and Jenkins is likely there at 14, and based on talent is top ten type player, but is he worth the risk there?

 

He's looked good so far today.

I think in a stable environment, I'd definitely take the risk on Jenkins. But without good, consistent veteran and coaching leadership, I think it's too big a risk. Not sure I'd feel that comfortable with the Cowboys' leadership, but the talent is very hard to pass up.

 

And Isaiah Pead has looked really, really fast.
