I have no idea how the Charlie Weis experiment is going to work out, but he's gotten Dayne Crist and Jake Heaps to both visit KU in his first week or so. Never thought I'd see anything like that.

PC is a great offensive mind, but has not shown the ability to heavily recruit or be a face of the program. I wish him the best, he transformed Wisconsin's offense the past few years, averaging 41 points/game last year and 46/game this year.

 

It'll be interesting to see if BB/BA will stay in-house and promote Bostad to OC, or if they look outside. An interesting name brought up is Darrell Bevell, current OC of the Seahawks. 4 year starter in the early/mid 90s, including the 93 Rose Bowl.

Weis was hard after Heaps. Flew out here with his knee all fucked up just to sit in the stands since he couldn't talk to him. But ND's depth chart was iffy with Clausen and Crist in front of him.

 

Should be an interesting couple years if having two former 5-star QBs on the roster can net him some more talent (esp on Oline).

Terry Bowden takes over at Akron. I think this is a good move for a school like Akron. Also, if Bowden can make Akron a MAC contender than you would think that he could easily land a mid to low level AQ job.

I guess it's for recruiting purposes. He actually has a decent (for us) recruiting class coming in and not having four years on your contract makes it tougher to recruit. That being said, I'm not a Danny Hope fan at all.
