I'm a little curious if one of these programs would be interested in taking a shot at Jim Tressel, and if he'd be interested.

 

 

I heard some chatter he may end up at Akron.

 

I saw that too. Akron has some really good facilities for a mid-major. Tressel could turn that mess around in no time.

 

 

OSU would be so pissed if Tressel showed up in-state and started poaching recruits, which would be kinda great

Starting to hear some rumblings about Charlie Strong coming to A&M. Our Athletic Director Bill Byrne is about to get shanked and I've heard that the Louisville AD is a leading candidate to replace him. Supposedly UK's Mitch Barnhardt is another.

Hopefully the loss of Ianello at Akron means ND can remove them from the future schedule. Esp if they hire a sleazeball like tressel.

I don't care if Akron hires Tim Brown, that game needs to be cancelled.

Hearing some rumblings that Charlie Strong is starting to gain some steam and that Strong, Larry Fedora, & Kirby Smart will be interviewed along with Sumlin. I still expect Sumlin to get the job in short order, though.

Ole Miss hiring Arkansas State HC Hugh Freeze as head coach. Dude is like six years removed from coaching high school. Was Michael Oher's coach in Blind Side. Pathetic Rebels, can't pay anyone else 3 million a year to coach us but this guy?

Barry Alvarez coached high school football before he went to Wisconsin though there was a 12 year game where he was an assistant.

What if they had hired Malzahn? How would you feel about that? I hope no better, because he's also 6 years removed from coaching high school and hasn't ever been a head coach at the college level.

I know little about Sumlin and Mullen but those are the guys UCLA seems focused on (though I'm guessing Sumlin will go to Texas A&M). Is one appreciably better than the other?

Mullen is a major a-hole. Tebow almost didn't go to Florida because Mullen gave him the creeps. I'm sure Google has the article about that. Also, he must be a terrible recruiter because despite sucking recently Ole Miss has killed Miss St. in recruiting lately.

I think they saw that everyone else in that movie got fired or left, so maybe try the guy who had the sense not to appear as himself.
