what a farce. they should've just let the press conference go on as scheduled. it's obvious he has some things he wants to say, and a lot of people have questions for him. so now you're left with people yelling questions at him while he's sitting in the window of his home. great work spanier. that moron should be on the next bus out of town.

Yeah, run him out of town but save the dude that helped protect a child molester. Pedophile State University, may no act of ours bring shame.

uhhh spanier was aware of the abuse in 2002 and signed off on the "don't let him use the school facilities" arrangement.

just read this on NPR:

As Penn State's senior vice president for finance and business — which gives him oversight of university police — Schultz, 62, has been charged with covering up abuse allegations. He served as the school's senior vice president and treasurer from 1993 to 2009, when he retired. Schultz returned to the same job in 2011, on a temporary basis. In early 2010, the university named a campus child care center after Schultz, who retired again on Nov. 6.

It kind of surprises me how the Second Mile is getting a 'free pass' in the blame game. Here is a guy who worked with psychologists and specialists in child molestation whom were seemingly also fooled. Their President was given a directive regarding the restriction of their most famous employee and bringing kids on campus, and they didn't find that odd? "Jerry has been accused a couple times of molesting kids? Whelp, until I see it with my own eyes, I'll just sign off on this trip to Tampa Jerry has planned with this poor young boy. One hotel room with a king size bed? La la la la la can't hear you la la la la la...."

I hope everyone involved with this is gone by Thanksgiving at the latest, no doubt. I just find it odd that of all the heads people are calling for, the higher ups of The Second Mile are always absent.

so did anyone mention that Tennessee had to find a last minute walk-on kicker, because the starter injured himself on Thursday and the backup pulled a muscle in warmups? The guy was loungin on his fraternity couch when he got the call and was rushed to the stadium....went 3-3 on PATs and made a 21 yard field goal.

Walk on kickers don't get the stand on the sidelines during the game?

Georgia had 3-4 RBs go down in a half. They pulled a guy out of the stands to be the RB. He heard his name over the loudspeaker telling him to report to the Georgia locker room immediately.

toledo beat western michigan 66-63 this week; last week they lost to northern illinois 63-60. i wonder when the last time was that a team played consecutive games where each team scored at least 60 points.

btw the western michigan qb threw for 548 yards, 7 td's, 0 int's and LOST.

AP Reporting Joe Paterno will retire at end of season.

What an [expletive] joke. He's allowed to ride gracefully into the sunset? No he should be fired immediately. Pedophile State University is a joke.

? The University fostered the sexual abuse of 20(maybe more) young children on their campus grounds. It's quite accurate nomenclature. But your obviously a mindless PSU fan, so I'm not going to debate this with you.

Take it down a notch or three.

PSU fans better brace for years and years of this sort of thing. Not advocating it, just saying.

it seems like this wasn't just a matter of paterno not reporting what he had heard to the authorities, it seems like he was part of a fairly huge cover-up.

the entire staff needs to go immediately.

so the football team, what, forfeits their last 3 games? tough to play with no coaching staff for athletic department

I'm just laying out what is under consideration. Again, this would punish a bunch of kids who had nothing to do with any of this. Rash decisions seem imprudent

if paterno himself were the rapist here, and it were proven that his staff all collaborated with him, would you keep them on for the last 3 games because the players don't deserve it?

so we're dealing in hypotheticals now?

nice dodge of the question.

if you are so concerned with the players and not the immediate success of the program on the football field, you'd support their ability to transfer after the season without sitting out a year.

sure, let them transfer

the players honestly don't matter, this is beyond them or football. this is beyond the rabid fans who want psu to win at any cost. justice for the players is irrelevant.
