St Louis recorded 0.06" of rain on the day the game was rained out. All of the measurable precipitation fell before the game's scheduled start time. If the Cardinals were pushing for a rain out as has been mentioned here, they clearly had an ulterior motive because the weather was not a threat.

Sure they still had to win game 6, but getting them a game 7 with carpenter is a huge deal.

OK, spaz.

Because when all else fails, resort to name-calling!

Durrr.

Both of you, please knock it off.

I'm quite serious when I say that I want to change the atmosphere around here.

And I fully support you in that. I will stop.

On the bright side...

Assuming that Carpenter starts tomorrow, that is another game of wear and tear on his 36 year old arm. He has pitched an insane number of innings this year and I think we will see the impact next season.

Yeah, with Wainwright returning with a bionic arm. [-(

What? That was really bad baseball.

A few errors on the world stage vs a 3 run and a 2 run comeback, twice down to the last strike. Yeah, that was really bad baseball. :-"

Yeah, I was listening to KC sports radio and their weather guy said there would be a delay at most. Dumb.

If we're getting upset at gamesmanship though, I'd much rather be irritated at Holliday's slide last night. He slid late, high, and made an upward pushing motion at Andrus as he went by. Led to a run too.

Meh. It was obvious, but clearly legal (within arms reach). We all know the intent on 99% of those slides. This one might have been more obvious, but still within the rules (not that you said it wasn't). It's game 6 of the World Series, they're going to do whatever they can.

But on the other hand it is the Cards. F that.

You're allowed to slide into someone, you're not allowed to reach to push/grab the defender.

He took the kid out, nearly flipped him with the slide. What I saw was a defensive move to protect himself when the SS landed.

I get that it was one of the hated Cardinals doing the deed, but there was no controversy on that slide.

One typically doesn't reach up and away from their body when defending themselves. I'm not saying he wanted Andrus in the hospital, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a bush league or even illegal slide.

Hamilton is going to have a great game. What is the prediction that we hear Carpenter is getting TJS by Thanksgiving?

Can you have TJS twice? or is it even worth it when you are 36?

I have a bad feeling that not only are the Cardinals going to win, also Theriot is going to have a good game. Not sure I could watch that.

No, please, I do not want him to have a good game, I just ate pizza and wings and don't want to taste this good meal a second time as I am heaving it when he gets the winning hit

Lead-off single for Kinsler...and the idiot gets picked off, wow. I was just going to say, it would be nice if the Rangers could jump on Carpenter early.
