So honestly, these St. Louis Cardinals are going to be World Series champions, but we can't even stumble our way to a World Series once in 66 years? This is hurting my heart.

This Cardinal team is way better than the last version to win the World Series.

That's not saying very much considering the last Cardinals team to win the World Series was the worst ever.

Well, yeah.

Oh, completely agreed. I'm simply referring to the fashion with which they've done it.

Very unpopular opinion, but I want no part of CJ Wilson.

I'm with you.

I heard an Epstein interview where he talked about the key to free agency is to build a deep enough system where your team goes into free agency in a position of strength. He said mistakes are made when a team is desperate to fill a position and signs a player simply because he is the best available, although he may not fit their ideal description. To me, that is CJ Wilson.

I'm popping open a Three Floyds Alpha King and regaining my composure. I honestly think the Rangers will still win this game. Happy thoughts.

Next year we're going to be nauseated with the Allen and Freese prospect press. Yep, 29 year old prospects, only team lucky.

You don't remember when Jason Dubois and Kevin Orie lead us to a world series?

Forgot about that one, good call.

Yeah. My post wasn't meant as a "correction"; more as an exasperated agreement. That probably wasn't clear though.

LaRussa is sticking with Carpenter after 88 pitches through 6 innings on 3 days rest. If the Rangers are doing this, have to jump on Carpenter next inning.

They won't

Well, not with that attitude.

David Freese now has the most postseason RBI ever with 21.

Craig had 1 opposite field HR all season, he's had 2 in the playoffs.

But, but, this "good" world series worthy team.
