Totally random but, Anyone who would rather watch 2 terrible football teams play over a game like this can go [expletive] themselves btw.

I'd rather watch anything than the Cardinals win a game like this.

In fact, I'll bet it was knowing they had been granted such a merciful boon that motivated them to fight their hearts AND guts out last night and overcome!

Reading the comments from Rangers fans the day between games 6 and 7 remind me a lot of how I felt between 6 and 7 in 2003 (yeah i know it was only the NLCS). Some are completely depressed. Some are adament that they will win tonight, almost as if they are convincing themselves. Some prefer to just discuss the failure of the game, or Ron Washington's decisions. I had all those feelings and thoughts between 6 and 7 in 2003. It's just a really interesting day because you are crushed about the game the night before, and while in your heart you think the series is over, in your head you still have hope because you could win the series tonight and game 6 will be a footnote if they can only win tonight.

Quit being an ass. It had nothing to do with last night.

Nobody is implying anything like that.

The Cardinals are going to win tonight. Carpenter is going to allow five hits and one run over seven innings and Harrison is going to get lit up. 6-2 Cards.

I turned on a Dallas sports talk show while I was walking to get lunch to hear what they were saying, and I didn't hear a single word about the Rangers, it was all Cowboys talk. I wish I was kidding.

I am! It all makes sense!

the one ray of hope:

1975 carlton fisk hits a crushing home run for reds fans to force a game 7, but the red sox end up losing.

i hope we're due for another one of those.

I remember saying this before game 7 of the 2003 NLCS lol.

Home team has won the last 8 World Series game 7's. The last time the road team won was 1979 when the Pirates won in Baltimore. The time before that was the Reds in Boston in 1975 of course.

OK, spaz.

Because when all else fails, resort to name-calling!

Durrr.

Both of you, please knock it off.

I'm quite serious when I say that I want to change the atmosphere around here.

St Louis recorded 0.06" of rain on the day the game was rained out. All of the measurable precipitation fell before the game's scheduled start time. If the Cardinals were pushing for a rain out as has been mentioned here, they clearly had an ulterior motive because the weather was not a threat.

Yeah, I was listening to KC sports radio and their weather guy said there would be a delay at most. Dumb.

If we're getting upset at gamesmanship though, I'd much rather be irritated at Holliday's slide last night. He slid late, high, and made an upward pushing motion at Andrus as he went by. Led to a run too.
