The Cardinals can thank Pud Selig's stupid All Star Game rule for giving them Game 7 at home tonight.

Also, was it me, or was that the most emotion I've heard from Joe Buck in a long time? Gee, I wonder why?

The first 10 minutes of our team meeting was taken up with Game 6 talk. *sigh*

And not sure what to think of this picture of the guy that got Freese's walkoff homerun ball and his friend.

In my opinion the rainout helped the Cardinals more than the Rangers. TLR has gone to the pen early more often than not this postseason. Carpenter wouldn't have been able to start a Game 7. The Rangers have not made any changes to their pitching plans based on the rainout. I don't believe in curses or that Divine intervention occurs in professional sports, but the culmination of everything the last 6 weeks or so definitely makes it APPEAR that way.

Yes, one of those lazy curses where it always goes their way except for all the times it doesn't.

All it proves to me is Selig has a man crush on LaRussa and will always give his teams the benefit of the doubt. The fact that the Cardinals were able to postpone a World Series game when it could have been played in order to set up their rotation is pretty sickening.

Wow.

Even Berkman came out and said the game should have been played. It's just like for how 8 of the 10 years during the '00s when the cubs had to go to St. Louis more than they came to Chicago. They may in fact be small things, but there shouldn't be any advantage at all.

HEY GUYS WHAT'S GONG ON. THE WHOLE THEO THING, HUH? PRETTY COOL, YOU GUYS. EXCITING STUFF. WELP, SEE YOU LATER.

It seems all Cardinal fans feel the need to try and slam cub fans more than just enjoy their world series runs. Sad group of people.

If that Harrison kid doesn't start off well, I'm sure the Rangers will be psyched that they have CJ Wilson to give them 5-6 innings on 3 days rest instead of 2 days rest because of the rainout.

Who knows how Carp's fragile little 36 year old arm is going to respond to pitching on 3 days rest 250 innings into his season.

This describes my entire office, and the STL area in general. It just doesnt make any sense. Are White Sox fans like this?

Step back for a second and realize the rain-out didn't do a damn thing to help them win last night's game.

On a side note, I wonder what the all time playoff record is in game 7 for teams that go into game 6 with a 3-2 series lead and lose

St Louis just has a giant inferiority complex.

Nuts you are a buzz kill, fan short for fanatic. You're gonna be the type of cub fan who will find a reason to not go crazy when Theo leads us to the promised land. The Cardinals are about to win it all in a year when they didn't deserve to even be there. Can't we at least bitch about it without you feeling the need to piss in our cheerios?

Yes, not crying about the Cardinals "magical" ability to sometimes win baseball games is the same thing as not rooting for the Cubs when they win the World Series.

I fully admit it's a pet peeve of mine, but I can't help it; I do not understand the desire at all to prop the Cardinals up as something they're obviously not and then acting like it's this thing that's practically reducing you to tears and and a flood nonstop whining. Why would you seemingly rather play the sniveling victim as opposed to the angry rival?

I hate the Cardinals. I hate that they're at this point. I hate their lineup and rotation and bullpen and coaching staff riddled with douchebags topped by All Might Highfather Douchebag himself. I'm just not going to be ridiculous about it and go out of my way to twist the Cardinals as some kind of bizarrely lucky/blessed team, or construct absurd conspiracy theories to justify it.
