Nick Collins out for the year with a neck injury.

It is not yet known if he will require surgery.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, it is not a fracture or spinal-cord related. Collins will meet with specialists before deciding what to do next, but he won’t be playing football this season.

Yeah you will, they're on different channels.

Not strange at all. NFC home games against the AFC are always on CBS.

I think Butters will get it in Columbia, but we'll be blacked out in St. Louis, since it's a home game.

Can they do that? It's the Fox national broadcast. If so, that BS.

Yup. Under NFL rules, the Bears-Packers game should be blacked out in St. Louis this weekend. They'll show games on FOX and CBS at noon and then show the St. Louis game at 3. In the secondary market for the St. Louis game, IIRC they'll show Fox games at noon and 3 (the 3 oclock one almost certainly will be Bears/Packers) and then on CBS show no game at noon and the St. Louis game at 3.

This is all correct except the Rams-Ravens will be on CBS.

Thanks for the correction.. I accidentally switched CBS and FOX in the last sentence. Bears/Packers on Fox, Rams/Ravens on CBS for the secondary market.

Yay, this is one of two games we should win. I imagine Gabbert will be starting against Newton.

I have a feeling you'll win more than two games this year.

Most likely. Just saying this is one of the two we should win on paper. Brutal schedule for Carolina this year.

(Actually, we had 3 games we 'should' win on the schedule but Arizona was one of them.)
