I think the Colts should have went for two as well, but I'm also an idiot.

Pomeroy just tweeted something saying you have less than 50 percent chance of winning if you elect to tie a football game with 2 minutes left, so you may not be.

Your chances are even lower if you are down by 1 and the other team has the ball though.

Exactly. The Colts are in a bad situation either way, but this way at least if the Steelers had a penalty or one bad play they might go conservative and play for OT. Going for 2 and hoping you get it (and obviously the Colts offense is not working on all cylinders) and then letting Roethlisberger have plenty of motivation and 4 downs to work with is a recipe for disaster. The Colts are only 40% at best to make the 2 point conversion, and they're going to lose 50-70% of the time they make the 2 point conversion. Those are really bad odds.

Steve Gleason, dude who famously blocked the punt and recovered for a TD during the Saints first game back to the dome, has Lou Gehrig's Disease. Bummer.

I've never seen anything like it. Probably because it's never happened.

They're the first team ever to blow 3 straight double digit halftime leads to start the year but that's even understating it. Blowing a 10 point lead at San Diego is understandable. Blowing 17 and 20 point halftime leads at home is almost impossible.

This sucks.

It's because they are the Vikings, and God hates them.

It's written in the Bible.

Can we get a hybrid Mel Gibson/Mormon religion that believes the Vikings killed Jesus in America?

I hate Dallas with a passion but why was that a personal foul?

yeah, that was pretty bad. I liked the ref that threw a flag about 10 seconds after the first flag, like "oh yeah i saw that too i guess."

that was a bad no call too. And this is Hoculi's crew. I guess they've been pretty good the rest of the night, though.

no idea why dallas played it so safe there... too much time on the clock and washington only needs a FG.

afraid of the inevitable INT when all 4 receivers run their routes out of bounds.

Sexy Rexy had them driving there and was only a play or two away from getting into FG range for a possible 3-0 start  . Too bad the line broke down there/he didn't protect the ball better.

There are only 3 undefeated teams left and two of them are the Bills and the Lions. Football is weird.

Would it be more or less weird if it was the Raiders instead of the Bills?

The Raiders have been better over the past 15 years or so but have a more recent history of being really, really bad, so... neither

Way too early for this to mean anything therefore it's probably worthless to point out but I'm going to do it anyways.

Detroit, San Francisco, Washington, Buffalo, Houston, Oakland and Tennessee would all be in the playoffs if they started today (they all missed last year). Also Cleveland is 2-1.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Chicago are all 1-2. Indianapolis and Kansas City are 0-3.

There is some potential great parody going on this season...or maybe it's just too early.
