Of course they didn't. That was a touchdown but it somehow didn't get reviewed.

Not a fun day to be a Hawkeye. Once again the defense can't make a stop when needed but I don't have too many expectations for this team so it is what it is. I can't wait until Iowa State is in Conference USA or whatever next year.

 

This after former safety Brett Greenwood, who went to my high school by the way, collapsed and had an apparent heart attack yesterday.

The old ball coach is an idiot. I don't understand what he's doing half the time. He wasted 2 timeouts thinking about going for it on 4th and 1 from his own 30 in the 2nd quarter. He finally ended up punting.

Turner Gill with some poor game management there. Went for it on 4th-and-1 from the 30 or so, got a TD run. But a holding call downfield. So then it's 4th-and-2, and he decides to try a FG. Missed badly. No reason not to just go for it again.

Oh, and I'm really unimpressed by whatever Vic Shealy is doing w the defense. We have more talent and speed than last year, yet I think we're worse.

Yeah, it certainly appears to be the schemes, not the talent, on defense. Just terrible.
